TRIP ITINERARY

Get ready for a flight to Dharamsala early in the morning. Once we reach Dharamshala, you will have time during the day to rest or visit the cultural center of Norbulingka. Founded in 1995 to preserve Tibetan culture, art and crafts, and literature, the Norbulingka Institute was established. Today there are various painters and craftsmen's workshops and a gallery. Buying the alluring handicrafts from the street market is a great way to support Tibetan culture and exile Tibetans. To make the evening exciting, we'll meet for a welcome dinner at the Roof Top Bar and stay in Dharamshala for the night.

At the beginning of our motorbike adventure, we depart Dharamsala towards Barot, a hidden village in the cedar forest noted for its trout cultivation. We drive via terraced rice fields and a thick grove of cedars up to Jhatingeri Hilltop, a famous spot where previously stood the King of Mandi's summer resting house. Some areas of the Uhl River are popular for fishing. For the night, we stay in a comfortable camp set on the riverside accompanied by a campfire under the stary skies.

Here the adventures pace up. We ride through the 2,100 meter Kandi Pass, crossing Kullu valley and driving till Tirthan Valley in the Great Himalayan National Park. We spend the night in the valley in a riverside farm stay.

Today's high point is the 3,120-meter-high Jalori Pass. While sharp switchbacks and hairpin bends await the climb up the hill, the road narrows and become gravel partly, providing some stunning views. India-Tibetan-style Bhimakali Temple is well worth a visit for its intriguing architecture. Sarahan, Himachal Pradesh's lovely village, is located 175 kilometers northwest of Shimla, the capital. A tiny museum and shrines to Lord Shiva, Lord Raghunath, and Lord Narasimha may be found here.

This route takes us through stunning scenery, giving us a glimpse into local culture. The Lord Nagesh temple is located in Sangla village. A five-story wooden fort can be seen 2 kilometers from the Sangla hamlet in settlement of Kamru. On top of it, there's a temple devoted to the goddess Kamakshi there. We will visit Chitkul and stay at the Riverside Resort, surrounded by nature, for the night.

Our journey begins in Chitkul and ends in Rekong Peo, where we eat lunch and obtain our Inner Line Permits from the local authorities, allowing us to continue riding over the restricted border area with Tibet and into the Spiti valley. Kinnaur Valley's capital city is Rekong Peo. In Kalpa, 7 kilometers above Peo, We spend the night with a spectacular view of Kinner Kailash Mountain. We spend the night in a nearby hotel for a comfortable stay.

The entire day takes us along the majestic Sutlej River via the picturesque Kinnaur Valley. Located on the Indo-Tibetan "highway," Nako is home to the last village in Kinnaur Valley and is known for its lake, which serves as the community's lifeline. Gradually, the terrain will morph into the high desert zone. During your stay in Nako village, we will stay at a guest home for the night.

Giu is Spiti's most remote and remotest settlement, located on the Tibetan border (China). The village of Giu is also well-known for ancient monk mummies that are still intact and seated in meditation. Spiti's tallest monastic complex, Tabo (3,050 meters), is located there. It is well-known for its more than a thousand-year-old Monastery, which is the main attraction. In 1996, His Holiness the Dalai Lama presided over a Kalachakra ceremony at the Tabo Monastery to commemorate the Monastery's one thousand years of existence. It's time to have a look around the Monastery and all of its temples. Stay the night near the world-famous Tabo Monastery at a cozy hotel.

Spiti's historic capital, Dhankar, is home to an ancient Monastery. The Dhankar Fort, which once served as the residence of the royal dynasty of Spiti, has only a few remnants left. Visitors are mesmerized by traditional architectural wonders at the Monastery, Fort, and other nearby sites. Thanks, artwork can be found around the Monastery. We continue on our way to Lalung, a hidden gem of a monastery and one of the region's first. The Pin Valley in Spiti, home to the snow leopard, is a notable sub-valley known for its unique culture and Wild Life Reserve. If time permits, we'll go deeper into the Pin Valley. After a long day, we stay at a cozy Kaza Hotel.

Today we will ride to the Spiti's largest Monastery, Kye. When we reach the secluded Chicham village on the other side of a steep gorge, we ride up to it on a new hanging bridge, Asia's tallest at 1,045 meters (4,200 meters). On top of that, you have a wonderful, breathtaking view. Known for their famous Spiti horses, raised for trade with Ladakh nomads in exchange for the precious Pashmina wool, these surreal-looking little communities dot the landscape. We'll visit the small town of Kaza, and you can shop around in the late afternoon.

Today will be an early day for the riders. Spiti and Lahaul valleys are separated by the 4.551-meter Kunzum Pass, which we will ride via on our way down to the Chandra River Valley. Due to the lack of villages or communities, we'll be riding through the most beautiful and pristine area of the Western Himalayas. The last leg of our journey is mind-blowing; there are no words to explain it. For a long day of riding, a comfortable hotel will be waiting for you.

Over the Rohtang pass, "the toughest pass," back into the lush green Kullu valley. For lunch, we'll divert to the ski slopes of the Solang Valley, from where it will take us an hour and a half to our base in Naggar. Spend the night in our Home Base in Naggar. Naggar, a quiet Hindu village in Himachal Pradesh about 500 kilometers from Delhi, is traditional and calm. Located in the Kullu Valley in the Western Himalayas, it's a short drive from Manali. According to Hindu mythology, the Gods chose this valley as their home because of its natural beauty and natural splendor. Hence, "The Valley of the Gods" is still used today. Naggar was formerly the region's capital, as evidenced by the quaint Naggar Castle. Hotel Ragini and Cottages, your home away from home, makes you feel right at ease. At an elevation of 1760 meters, Hindu temples dating back thousands of years can be found across Naggar and the surrounding area. There is nothing like looking out over the valley and seeing rice fields, forested mountains, and small villages with distinct cultures.

The last morning, we will wake up early for the morning flight connecting international flight home. You also have a chance to extend your stay in peaceful Naggar for a while.
