TRIP ITINERARY

Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel (room available in the afternoon). It is recommended to arrive early to make the most of Delhi and adjust to the time difference. Delhi is the capital of India and one of the most vibrant cities in the country, continuing to grow at a rapid pace. While it is now a bustling and lively city, Delhi also boasts a rich historical past and is home to some of the finest museums in the country. The modern city of Delhi is built upon the ruins of seven ancient cities.

Upon your arrival, transfer by private vehicle to the train station where we will take the train to Chandigarh at 2 PM. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the evening, we will inspect the motorcycles.

We will depart from the foothills of the Himalayas, heading towards Shimla, the capital of the state of Himachal Pradesh. Enjoy the view of the snow-capped peaks and take in the surrounding landscapes. Breathtaking! Explore the town, admire its Victorian architecture and monuments

After Breakfast departure towards Sarahan. We will start with an ascent through Kufri towards Narkhanda, where we will have a magnificent view from this point. Then, we will head towards Rampur, with lunch along the way. We will continue climbing until we reach Sarahan. Upon arrival, we will check into the guesthouse of the typical Hindu Bhimakali Temple. Free time to explore

This day takes us through stunning landscapes, offering a glimpse into the local culture. We will visit Chitkul. Our journey of the day begins in Chitkul and ends in Rekong Peo, where we will have lunch and obtain our permits from the local authorities, allowing us to continue crossing the border area with Tibet and into the Spiti Valley. Rekong Peo, the capital of the Kinnaur Valley, marks a significant stop. We will then ascend towards Nako, passing through a checkpoint. Upon arrival in Nako, we will check into the hotel.

Today, the landscape will change, offering us more rocky views. We will continue our journey towards the village of Tabo. Visit the small, authentic, and picturesque village of Tabo. We will also take the time to visit its monastery, one of the oldest in India. Lunch. Visit Dankhar along the way. Then, we will depart for Kaza, traveling through majestic mountains that offer breathtaking landscapes. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and explore the town of Kaza

We will depart towards Komic, followed by the Pin Valley. Along the way, we will pass through several villages in a desert landscape that closely resembles Ladakh, with its deep Buddhist culture. Lunch will be served during our return journey. Throughout the day, we will experience a profound sense of awe at the grandeur of nature. We will then head towards Rangrik. There is the possibility of continuing on to Key to visit its stunning monastery, perched on a rocky promontory. Lunch will follow. We will then drive to Rangrik, where we will check into a guesthouse

Today will be an early morning for the motorcyclists. The Spiti and Lahaul valleys are separated by the Kunzum Pass (4590m), which we will cross while descending into the Chandra River valley. With no villages or communities along this route, we will traverse one of the most beautiful and pristine regions of the western Himalayas. The final stretch of our journey is breathtaking; there are no words to describe it. After this long day on the road, a comfortable hotel will be waiting for us upon arrival.

Early in the morning, we will head to Darsha, which is well-paved. We will travel northwest from Darsha towards the Zanskar region, crossing the Shingkula Pass at 5091 meters. As the road between Darsha and Padum is still under construction, we will need to cross several rivers while passing through various villages in Zanskar. We will spend the night in Purne with the locals and visit the Phugtal Monastery early the next morning.

Today, we will take a detour to the magnificent Phuktal Gompa, one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in Zanskar. We will depart early in the morning at around 7 AM. This underground monastery was founded in the early 12th century. We will hike to the monastery, which takes about 3 hours round trip. After our visit, it will be time to return to Purne and begin our journey toward Padum, the capital of Zanskar.

After just a few kilometers, we leave the paved roads behind—the slopes along the Zanskar River are calling us! We continue north into the depths of the Himalayas. The road narrows increasingly, and the steep slopes often obscure the sky—we are now at the bottom of the Zanskar gorges. The road conditions also become more challenging, and in some places, we need to cross the river. We gradually gain altitude and finally arrive at our destination, Lamayuru.

We arrive at the BodhKharbu and head north, taking the road towards the land of the Aryans, into the DhaHanu Valley. The road is well-paved and pleasant, with a few sections of "trail." The Dha Valley offers a final glimpse of the stunning landscapes of Ladakh. This last leg, though not the least important, allows us to take a detour and explore new corners of this region known for its small communities. The road quality is excellent, making it a joy to ascend the small passes with their winding turns

Once we arrive at Likir after passing through various villages, we take the NH1 towards Leh. The surrounding landscape is beautiful and arid, reminiscent of the American West desert for any motorcycle enthusiast. Finally, it’s time to reach Leh. We will return the motorcycles, and you’ll have the evening to shop for souvenirs and dine at local restaurants

Free day to explore Leh, go shopping, or simply relax. Take the opportunity to visit local markets, cafés, or any sights you might have missed.

Flight from Leh to Delhi. Transfer to your hotel in Delhi and free time for any final activities. In the evening or morning tomorrow you will be dropped off at Delhi International airport
